What makes our candles so special?

Designed with the planet in mind, each candle is hand poured using 100% soy wax, phthalate-free premium fragrance and essential oils; in Kent County, Maryland.

Our labels are produced on a 1921 Chander & Price letterpress in Chestertown, Maryland. The labels provide the strength of character on par with the other worldly scents of Lodestone Candles.

Each glass container is 100% recyclable. All of our packaging is recyclable or compostable.

All orders are shipped via UPS Ground on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please allow for 1-5 business days, excluding holidays for your order to be processed.

If you do not receive an order confirmation email within 2 weeks of placing your order, you can contact hey@lodestonecandles.com for a status update. Please note that USPS and UPS are also experiencing delays with delivery. We are unable to offer any expedited shipping options at this time.

The ports along the rivers and coastlines of the Deep South not only exported the crops of our new nation's fertile soil, it also welcomed the fruits of trades in exotic lands. Somewhere along the line, the fragrances of fresh cut tobacco leaves and bay leaf came together. Funny how two fragrances from such disparate points on the globe can mix to generate a feeling of comfort. These refreshing citrus top notes followed by exotic florals dry to a delicate background of sandalwood, cedar and warm musk.

Inspired by the utilitarian luxury made evident in New Americana, the sophisticated fragrances of Lodestone Candles evoke memories of estate adventures, real or imagined, near or far.


Our labels are produced on a 1921 Chander & Price letterpress in Chestertown, Maryland. The paper is American-made Crane & Co. paper. The labels provide the strength of character on par with the other worldly scents of Lodestone Candles.

Each container is 100% recyclable or can hold your pens or plants, spare change or pushpins, makeup brushes or seashell collections. The possibilities are limitless.

FOLLOW THESE TIPS TO GET THE MOST ENJOYMENT FROM YOUR CANDLE
• Trim candlewicks to ¼ inch each time before burning.
• For the initial lighting allow the candle to create a full and even burn pool across the entire candle.
• For subsequent lightings our recommended burn time is one to two hours (3 to 4 hours maximum).
• Do not leave a burning candle unattended.
• Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
• Keep candles out of the reach of small children and pets.
• Burn candle on a heat-resistant surface.
• Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
• Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents and ceiling fans to minimize smoking or a wick blowing out causing the candle to burn unevenly.
• Always burn candles in a room with ventilation.
• Never touch a burning candle or move a candle when the wax is liquid.
• Never extinguish candles with water.
• Make sure a candle is completely extinguished and the wick ember is no longer glowing before leaving the room.
• Manufacturer is not responsible for product misuse.
